Message from the founder, Keith W. Hooper
As the H.E.L.P Foundation is in the middle of the seventh year of its “labor of love” with less fortunate children and their families in the Philippines, there are many reasons to feel good about our progress. In addition to providing sup-port, a strong spirit of cooperation and a sense of commitment have developed on both sides of the globe. We strive to render “hope and opportunity” to the people we work with in the Philippines. However, most importantly, is the commitment that you, our donors and supporters have made to our humanitarian work. Because of you, children are given the opportunity to attend school; women are being trained with the hopes of eventually starting small-businesses ; malnourished children are being fed; potable water is now available; farm animals are being disbursed to poor rural families and the list goes on and on. I thank you for your generosity and belief in our vision. However, the challenge is mind boggling and sometimes I wonder if it is worth the effort – that is until I see the smile on a child‟s face or the tears of joy in a moth-er‟s eyes. In our own little corner of the world, we are making a difference! In the words of Blessed Mother Theresa, “Give the world the best you have and it may not be enough but give the world the best you have anyway”.
